CORE VALUES
By value we understand a series of inalienable, non-transferable, universal and permanent qualities that God fixed in the conscience of individuals and established in his Word. These qualities are understood as the highest aspirations of the ideal of human life, which, when applied rigorously in the life of the individual, contribute to modeling a virtuous life characterized by moral and spiritual excellence.
WE COMMIT TO THE SCRIPTURES
ITIER firmly maintains that the Holy Bible in its original form was verbally and plenaryly inspired by God, and is completely reliable and without any addition of error. Both the original writings of the Old and New Testaments are without error and infallible, and are the absolute authority for faith and practice.
AN INDIVIDUAL COMMITMENT TO FULFILLING GOD'S CALL
The basic motivation of each person who works at ITIER is a clear sense that God has called him to minister in this place. Our motivation for our service is not rooted in career advancement, position achievement, meeting personal goals, or financial compensation. Rather, we are here to serve the Church. Furthermore, faith in God's willingness to provide for individual and institutional financial needs characterizes each worker, administrator. By God's call, each staff member gives himself personally to the evangelism of the lost and the discipleship of converts to introduce them to a local church.
COMMITMENT TO PERSONAL INTEGRITY
Each person at ITIER strives to behave so that the person and character of the Lord Jesus Christ is clearly seen in all aspects of our lives. We take very seriously the scriptural admonition to be holy (1 Peter 1:15-16) so that we can clearly present the Gospel to the world around us (1 Peter 2:9; 3:15-16). Each ITIER member individually cares a great deal about integrity, honesty, openness, and sensitivity to others.
COMMITMENT TO EQUALITY
ITIER emphasizes a spirit or attitude of equality before the Lord of all staff. Each member is called by God and dedicates his gifts to fulfill the goals of the Institute. In an organization, levels of authority and responsibility are needed; In such a spirit of equality it becomes easy to accept the vision and goals of spiritual leadership.
A COMMITMENT TO A BASIS OF FAITH
The basic principle of ITIER is that the Lord's work, if it is done according to the Lord's way, will never lack the support of the Lord. ITIER expects from the Lord the provision of personnel, of finances, and awaits them at his time. We believe that God's timely provision becomes a measure of what He would have us do. This perspective does not rule out proper planning, nor does it preclude the making of opportunities that arise. It does, however, provide an assurance as to our motivation in submitting our funding and staffing needs.
A COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE
ITIER maintains a balance between an academic institution seeking excellence and a theological educational agency.
